What you choose to share
Forms collect the email address, name, message, recipe question, organization, or interests you enter. Download requests also record the guide you chose. Live cooking forms record your interest in future class updates. Forms record the source page, placement, referring website hostname, and campaign tags in the page link. Browsing does not sign you up for emails.
Free guides and recipe emails
Enter your email to request a free PDF. The download link appears on the page after your request is saved and works for seven days. Current free guides require the recipe-email checkbox. You can unsubscribe anytime. A download request does not by itself subscribe you to marketing. Existing subscription and unsubscribe records are retained separately from new requests.
Quiz and challenge access
Quiz results and challenge interaction require an email signup. Free guides require the recipe-email checkbox. Essential, secure access cookies remember quiz/challenge access for up to one year in this browser without containing an email address. Clearing cookies removes this access preference. Quiz answers are processed on the page, not added to the contact database.
How information is used
Details are kept in a private contact database to deliver the requested resource, review messages, manage live cooking updates and community interests, and honor email choices. The owner dashboard requires authorized sign-in. Hosting and infrastructure providers process information needed to run and secure the website. We do not sell your contact details.
Browser tools
Saved recipe links, challenge progress, and invitation preferences can be stored in your browser. Closing a tab normally does not clear them, but clearing site data, using private browsing, or changing browsers or devices may affect them. Saved collections can be downloaded and restored. Quiz answers and grocery-tool choices are processed on the page and are not automatically sent to the contact database.
External services
Social, WhatsApp, affiliate, Amazon, music, and merchandise links open or load services with their own policies. The Bandcamp player, Google Fonts, and some Wix-hosted images or videos connect to those providers. Printful handles merchandise checkout, payment details, fulfillment, and order support. An optional support payment, when offered, is handled by the named payment provider. Card details are not submitted to the Veginner Cooking contact database.
Security and retention
Forms use validation, a honeypot, bounded requests, short-lived hashed rate-limit identifiers, and retry protection. Raw IP addresses are not stored in contact records, although hosting providers may process technical request information for delivery and security. Contact records are retained for managing requests and community relationships. Ask for correction or removal; limited suppression records may be retained to honor opt-out requests. No internet system can guarantee absolute security.
Children and families
A parent or guardian should request family resources such as The Little Green Chef. Please do not submit a child’s personal information or private details in forms.
Changing your preferences
To change an email preference or ask about your information, contact Cheryl. Use the unsubscribe option in marketing emails if you receive them. Browser settings let you clear local saved collections and preferences. This policy may be updated as the website’s services change.
