Apple Lime Vinaigrette 🥗

Did you know you can easily make your own fresh healthy salad dressing at home! Ditch the added sugar, sodium, and preservatives in store bought dressing. Homemade is the difference between an okay tasting salad and an AMAZING salad!

Apple Lime Vinaigrette Recipe


Servings: 4 servings (enough for a salad with mixed greens)

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes


Ingredients:


Instructions:


  1. Prepare Ingredients: If using apple slices, chop them into smaller pieces. If using applesauce, set aside.


  2. Blend Vinaigrette: In a blender, combine 2 oz of apple slices (or applesauce), 2 oz of onion (if using), 2 oz of extra virgin olive oil, ½ oz of fresh ginger, 1 oz of fresh lime juice, and ½ oz of pure maple syrup. Blend until smooth.


  3. Assemble Salad: In a large bowl, combine 2 oz of mixed greens and your choice of toppings (cucumber, avocado, cherry tomatoes, dried cranberries, raw sliced almonds, or golden flax seeds).


  4. Dress the Salad: Drizzle the vinaigrette over the salad and toss gently to combine.


  5. Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy!
